Course Description

In this class, students will be introduced to college writing. That is, they will learn the fundamentals of summary, synthesis, & argumentation. Furthermore, they will learn how to become more careful and self-aware readers. In this class, students will write reflections about their writing and learn how to take good annotations of their reading and writing. The goal is to become more careful, self-aware, and insightful readers, thinkers, and writers.

  • Demonstrate the ability to produce writing that is clear and logical

  • Summarizing, synthesizing, and arguing the point of a written work
  • Becoming Self Aware Readers
  • Proper Note Taking
