Professional Background
Sergio Godinez is a Ph.D. student in the Structural Engineering department at the University of California, San Diego. Sergio earned his master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego in March. He has been a speaker for the International Forum for Science and Engineering Students in 2017 at the University of Guadalajara and again for the XXII Mexican National Congress of Seismic Engineering conference in 2019. Before graduate school, Sergio worked for 3 years as a project manager for Pondera Soluciones en Ingenieria Estructural in Gualadalajara, Mexico. As a project manager, Sergio analyzed and developed structural projects ad gave counsel over existing structures.
