Haydee Smith

Course Title: Appropriate or Appropriation? Politics of Representation and American (In)Authenticities

Haydee Smith is currently a Ph.D. student with the Literature department at UC San Diego. Before coming to UCSD, Haydee ran an on-campus residential program for high-school and middle-school students to visit UC Berkeley, learn about college life, and gain leadership and community building skills. While a graduate student at UCSD, she has taught several courses over 5 years in the fields of American Memoirs, Disability Studies, LGBTQ Studies, and Gender and Women's Studies.
