Haydee Smith

Course Title: Animating Narratives: Disney, Cultural Production, & Critical Literacy

Haydee Smith is currently a Writing Instructor in the Muir College Writing Program and a Ph.D. candidate in the Literature department at UC San Diego. Before coming to UCSD, Haydee ran an on-campus residential program for high-school and middle-school students to visit UC Berkeley, learn about college life, and gain leadership and community building skills. During her time at UCSD, she has taught several courses in the fields of Academic Research and Writing, American Memoirs, Popular Culture Studies, Disability Studies, LGBTQ Studies, and Gender and Women's Studies.
