Swim Team Coach: organize and facilitate practice for youths from the beginning to advance competition levels; file paperwork for all swim meets, as well as communicate with parents to keep them involved in their children’s development.
Lifeguard and Swim Instructor: Teach all swimming skills to children (and adults) and oversee the safety of all patrons during public swim hours; responsible for addressing the public and managing questions that arise in a knowledgeable professional manner, using language skills in both English and Spanish; file and maintained records, facilitate registration for classes, and manage the cash register.

Taught swim lessons for the county of Hawaii Learn-to-Swim program; worked with students from 3 years old to advanced swimmers in learning and advancing swimming techniques.

Hilo, Hawaii, Lyman Museum Work, Volunteer (Fall 2006)
Took lead in setting up, taking down and packing the exhibit; processed condition reports; assisted executive director at Anna Ranch in Waiamea, Hawaii to record, accession, and curate items in a historic home, as part of a cultural and community preservation project. This process has been ongoing from the fall of 2005 to the present.

Lead youth day-camp programs, teaching surfing, kayaking, sailing, canoeing, and Hawaiian canoeing; responsible for providing and engaging students, from ages 6-15, in a safe atmosphere; taught adult classes for college age; responsible for distribution and maintenance of equipment and facilitating group activities for various different types of groups- adults, children, diplomats, administrators, girl scouts, Mar Vista NJROTC, and the general public; registering new students; administered first aid when necessary; all while being responsible for the overall care of the customer.
