Academic Connections instructors are typically UCSD doctoral students who design and teach their own courses. Their desire is to convey to students their enthusiasm for learning and their commitment to education. They are hired based on their ability to engage students academically; courses are designed for students entering grades 10-12 with a strong academic background. Class enrollment is limited to 22 and all classes with an enrollment of 12 or greater have the option of hiring a teaching assistant.
