Samantha M. Clements

Course Title: Scripps Institution of Oceanography: Introduction to Marine Biology

Samatha Clements is a Ph.D. student of Marine Biology at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, at the University of California, San Diego. She has participated in a variety of outreach programs, such as Science Discovery day at Lincoln Acres Elementary School, National City; Haunted Aquarium at the Birch Aquarium and the Sustainable Seafood Gala at the San Diego Oceans Foundation. She has also been a House Advisor for John Muir College at the University of California, San Diego.

Samantha was a co-instructor last Summer for UC San Diego Academic Connections 2016 as well as a co-instructor for the "Global Environmental Leadership and Sustainability" course for middle schools students at White's Landing on Catalina Island. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant for nine terms at the University of California in the following courses: Biodiversity, Environmental Issues, Introduction to Organismal and Evolution Biology, Evolution and Computer Modeling in R for Ecology.
