Marina McCowin

Course Title: Scripps Institution of Oceanography: Marine Invertebrates

Marina McCowin is currently pursuing her PhD in Marine Biology at the University of California, San Diego. She is also a current graduate research assistant in the Rouse Lab at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography working on phylogenetic analysis of deep-sea tubeworms. She has years of research experience having formerly worked as a research assistant studying the mantis shrimp biomechanics and effects of ocean acidification as well as phylogenetic analysis of Polynoidae, Crinoidea, Sabellidae, and Holothuroidea.
