Marlene Brito-Millan

Course Title: SIO: Marine Invertebrates

Marlene Brito-Millan is a PhD candidate at Scripps Institution of Oceanography/UC San Diego, where she previously obtained her M.S. in Marine Biology.  Her dissertation focuses on “Linking Spatio-temporal Coral Reef Dynamics to Coastal Indigenous Societies.”  She is an NSF, Ford Foundation and UC San Diego President’s Dissertation Year Fellow, as well as a Mestiza mother-of-two.
