Professional Background
Melinda Barnadas is a graduate of UCSD’s Visual Arts MFA Program. She is a co-artist and co-founder of the international art entity, Collective Magpie. “Magpie” has produced synergistic public art works and events in a broad range of integrated media, aimed at inspiring interaction and wonder in galleries and public spaces throughout North America. Melinda’s education includes earning her BFA in Painting/Art and Technology from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Visual Arts Studies in Regional History at Universidad de las Américas, Puebla, Mexico.
